Do You Need Links?
Why I'm Building Links This Time Around
The last time I built a content site I didn't focus on building links at all. I allowed them to come in naturally where possible.
However, after two years we had few notable links and it wasn't doing much for our rankings...
This time I am doing it differently! Here's why:
1) Low-competition keywords are becoming harder to come by. We didn't need link juice to rank as I could rank instantly with a zero DR blog for easy keywords.
This time I am going after more competitive terms and want to take on higher-traffic keywords. Links help...
2) With the rise in AI content, SERPs are only going to get more saturated. What differentiates your blog from AI blogs churning out similar content?
While you might have great content, links send signals to Google that other pubs trust your content.
3) Go look at the biggest players in your niche.
Do they have a DR 15 blog with no big links or do they have a solid link profile backing their high-quality content?
Yep, that's right, they have a top-tier link profile.
So, how am I going about getting links?
I haven't really dived too much into link-building. As I said my previous site didn't use many at all. So rather than try to figure it out, I'm working with Chris from Linkifi.
He's been working on getting HARO links for one of my newer sites. So far he's landed me a DR91 Fiverr link, DR84 Sage link and a few other notable sites.
So far it's been a lot better than any other link-building services I have used. These are actually top-tier sites.
