#13 - This 1 Choice Is Vital To Your Niche Site Success

Making this mistake will cause you to fail...

I have 4 different websites in my niche site portfolio. Some of them I enjoy more than others…

This got me thinking about the 2 sites I had when I started my niche site journey.

I sold one site for 6 Figures a few months ago.

The other never went anywhere.

It wasn’t that the second niche was bad. It was the fact I didn’t have any passion for it.

This week I have been writing articles for my running website. I’ve got massively into running over the past few months. Sitting down and writing content for this site this week didn’t feel like work at all.

That’s exactly how I felt when I built my first niche site.

I started it from scratch in a niche I was active in then.

It made topic research so much easier as I knew what I struggled with when I first got into the niche.

I could write content so much faster as I actually knew what I was talking about.

I knew how to build topical structure on the site as I had niche experience.

Compare that to the second site I had which was in the gardening niche. I had absolutely no experience in gardening, nor did I want to get into it.

This made sitting down and writing content, damn near impossible.

I struggled to find keywords and I didn’t have experience in the niche. I didn’t know what I didn’t know.

Whereas someone who has been through the experience of entering a hobby etc knows what problems newcomers face.

When I tried to write an article in the garden niche it would take me 4-5 hours to get a simple 1000-word article complete.

In comparison in the niche I knew about, I could write a 1000-word article in 1-1.5 hours.

This makes such a difference when it comes to the amount of content you can pump out.

So, what is the takeaway here?

If you plan on doing most of the writing on your site, you should definitely go with a niche you have experience.

Even if you plan on writing content with AI, knowing your niche will make editing that AI content so much easier.

If you actively participate in a niche a nice bonus of running a niche site is getting free products for reviews that you can actually use.

So, my advice to you is to pick a niche you can wake up and write for every day. If you’re excited to write, it won’t feel like work.

This will allow you to be consistent enough over a long period of time, allowing you to get to a point where you are making money and seeing good results.
